Bellingen held it’s anual Jazz Festival over the weekend just ended. A really great event. Really enjoyed (for free) Horn Among the Roses at the Federal Hotel, this group has in it John Hoffman, legendary flugelhorn player.
Watched another great group, Bois et Charbon, at the Old Butter Factory. How often can you watch great groups like this for free.
Good food, good wine, good company & great music, what more can you want.

A sunny day in Urunga
Here I am again back after nearly a month of more rain & another flood. The whole area is wet & damp, eveytime it rains ( even just a light mist) the ground just turns to mud. It will be this way until summer when we can get some real sun. I have not felt like doing anything with images, website or blogs.
I have decided that this weekend ( a long one ) things will change & I will be inspired to get the camera working.
The image of the boardwalk at Urunga was taken on one of the few sunny days we have had recently.
The sun is out at the moment, that is nice & uplifting.

Back in Urunga & over the flood. My office is back in operation, all needt & tidy. Life is almost back to normal. Attended a great opening at the NEXUS GALLERY at the OLD BUTTER FACTORY in Bellingen. JODY MASTERS is an emerging artist and her work is spectacular. Her work is selling like crazy. Anyone that would like some reasonably price artwork to hang in the home should get there soon. I photographed her work for upcoming catalogues & advertising etc. I will post some images of her work in my next post
Also had a nice Sunday showing LH around Bellingen. A friend of Keiths she is thinking of moving to the Bellingen/Dorrigo. She is a very interesting person. Had a great lunch at Lodge 241.
I am turning into a duck everything is so wet.
Here i am in Dubbo for easter , recovering from the flue & the great flood in Gods Waiting Room. The flood was amazing, at first i did not think it would effect me. I was wrong, I had 2 meters of water through my downstairs office & garage.The office & my car were trashed. My car was towed away by the insurance company & will be written off. Lucky for me i had all my paperwork up high, so i will be back in business first day after easter. for the first time I did not feel like taking images, the flood was to close to home.

Cleanup after the Great Flood in Urunga 2009
of Urunga/Bellingen valley where amazing, the way the pulled together to help the flood victims.
I have attached an image of the cleanup, a small block of units occupied mainly by retired elderly people.
Had an afternoon walk along the beach at Hungry Head. Only a father playing with his two young children & an older couple on their afternoon walk, is there a better place on this planet.
